Ron and Dorothy Martin
One of the benefits of operating a successful Mannatech business is enjoying true time freedom. For Ron and Dorothy Martin this means spending time with friends and family being able to pursue their dreams-however unconventional they may be. For their golden anniversary Dorothy had the unique idea of walking a thousand miles from their Texas home to Akron, Indiana, where they were married 50 years ago.
“Ron is used to my crazy ideas,” said Dorothy. “So at first he probably thought it was another silly notion. But then as we started talking about it, we both got excited and decided that we’d do it!”
Fueled by their sense of adventure and the comfort of knowing that they would be supported by their friends and Mannatech business along the way, the Martins began the journey of a lifetime. They were fortunate to have good weather along the way and accomplished the trek ahead of schedule, taking 84 days to cover the distance and beating their schedule by almost a week.
“That’s something we could have never done without Mannatech,” says Dorothy. “We had the time and of course we had our business to support us.” They also had Mannatech products, which they had shipped to motels along their route. “It was wonderful to arrive somewhere and find a Mannatech shipment awaiting us,” says Dorothy.
The Martins say they stay active because they enjoy the opportunity to meet and talk with new people. “That’s one of the nice things about Mannatech, the people you meet,” says Dorothy.*
