Lain Van Ogle - BMX Racing
If there were any doubt about Lain Van Ogle’s passion for racing, it was laid to rest during a return flight from an overseas BMX competition. The plane’s cargo hold was overloaded. The choice: Leave his bicycle or his clothes.
His clothes arrived several days later.
That’s the kind of single-minded, competitive focus that has driven the 12 year old ever since he began BMX (bicycle motocross) racing when he was 6. Since 2005, Lain has 66 first place finishes for his age class while competing against the best in his sport throughout the western United States and Canada. One of those victories involved winning the American Bicycle Association’s World Championship despite having suffered a shoulder injury that kept him off his bike for six weeks, leaving him only two weeks to prepare.
In addition to continuing his winning tradition and becoming an expert BMX racer, Lain’s dream is to compete in the 2012 Olympics in England. BMX racing will become an official sport during the 2008 Olympic games.
Staying on top of his game is not easy. To help in this quest, Lain became a member of Team Mannatech. To help maintain his cutting edge, his favorite Mannatech products are GlycoBears®, MannaBears™, Ambrotose®, Ambrotose AO® and Manna-C™.
“It takes a lot of hard work and practice to stay in competitive shape,” Lain says. “It’s important that I watch my diet. I’ve found that Mannatech supplements help me maintain my stamina to compete at the highest level I can.”
