Dr. Alan Korte
Dr. Alan Korte is a dentist who is truly making a difference in the world, both through his work with dental patients, but also along with his wife, Linda, on worldwide missions. As a dedicated healthcare professional, he truly has a heart for service and a commitment to helping others enjoy optimal health.
“I have been in general practice dentistry for about 22 years,” says Dr. Korte. “Like many in the healthcare industry, I’ve been seeing more and more people interested in a proactive approach to health and wellness. I had a patient who was persistent in telling me about Mannatech. He brought me some information that motivated me to do some of my own research. I was impressed with what I found, so I began recommending an integrative approach that included Mannatech products.”
Dr. Korte has also shared information about the products with other dentists. “When I tell dentists about Mannatech, I get all kinds of responses,” he says. “It is an uphill battle because the paradigm is so strong to stay with the status quo. Some are upset that I would even suggest such a thing as nutrition. Fortunately however, there are several other dentists who see the light and understand the science of nutrition and integrative health.
His passion for sharing the Mannatech story has led Dr. Korte to Presidential Director status. “In turn our success with Mannatech allows us to do a lot more mission trips,” he says. “I was able to provide dental services during a trip to Russia, and my wife and I have gone on several MannaRelief trips.”
Though all of the trips have been very rewarding, one certainly stands out. “Thanks to a MannaRelief trip to Ghana, my wife met our three youngest children,” says Dr. Korte. “She fell in love with a little girl at an orphanage, then discovered she has a twin. We were thrilled by the prospect of having twin girls, then discovered there was another, younger, sister as well. So we adopted all three.” That brings the Korte adopted children to seven, ages 4 to 17. “It’s a good thing we have Mannatech products,” says Dr. Korte. “We have a very active household!”*
